Amanda Lane - Senior Ecologist / Conservation Analyst

Experience summary: 

Dr. Amanda Lane is a former lecturer at the University of Sydney with professional interests in wildlife ecology, conservation and genetics. She joined Biolink in 2017 after a period researching the current conservation and genetic challenges of Tasmanian Devils, work that was undertaken in association with the Save the Tasmanian Devil Program. As a collaborator with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Amanda is also involved with monitoring the global conservation status of sea snakes which allows her to continue contemplating the marine reptiles she researched during her Ph.D. She has published internationally and locally in journals including Conservation Biology, Molecular Ecology, Biological Conservation, Austral Ecology, Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution and Current Zoology. Amanda is also an accredited BAM Assessor and drives our GAPCLoSR analytical package.
